Vintage Reclaimed Lumber is one of America’s premier specialists in re-using, reclaiming, salvaging and upsourcing pieces of our nations history. From a single storage building filled with wood salvaged from an old barn to, today, supplying tradesmen, do-it-yourselfers, builders, architects, decorators, designers and a large string of other wholesalers nationwide, we take great pride in saving this history from being discarded and wasted in a landfill. Whether it’s our Railhead boxcar flooring salvaged from the railroad industry, Freightline trailer flooring salvaged from the trucking/transportation industry, a large tree trunk saved from the wood chipper in collaboration with dozens of municipalities or the truss timbers from your great grandfathers barn or the factory he spent decades earning a living in, we can get it….or we already have it. Our supply isn’t unlimited but it all matters to us. Historic buildings. Historic family histories. Historic memories. We’ve been dealing in and sourcing reclaimed wood and lumber since far before the green movement came into vogue. Our only regret is we didn’t do it sooner. Annually, billions of board feet of this precious material is discarded, burned or otherwise destroyed along with the stories it represents. Our inventory includes species as varied as walnut, black oak, cottonwood, red oak, white oak, hemlock, sycamore and many more, slab or live edge form. Our products include flooring and wall/ceiling products milled from laminated oak and other hardwoods, rough sawn wood for any of dozens of uses, barn wood, weathered wood, whole timbers from various sources and finish products including stains, waxes and sealers. Finally, we work with some of America’s finest pickers to source ancillary items often found in abandoned barns and factories, whether it be gears, pulleys, tack, tools or containers that we offer in limited supply and that we utilize in our affiliate companies to produce one-of-a-kind furniture and architectural elements to builders and designers.
